Human | Machine | Nature is an electroacoustic, sound-archaeological composition by Sebastian Bode and Jonas Wolter. As WOODEN PEAK they have been releasing albums of experimental pop music since 2009 and under the name TELESKOP- "Studio for Aural Arts" they create textures and sound art for films and museums.
The linchpin of Human | Machine | Nature is the Energiefabrik Knappenrode, a former briquette factory in an east german mining area that was stopped and converted into a museum after the end of the GDR. For more than a year, Bode + Wolter collected samples and field recordings from the past and present of the huge site and, together with Wencke Wollny (bass clarinet), Antonia Hausmann (trombone) and Christian Dähne (bass), returned to the acoustically unique turbine hall of the museum, to perform the resulting piece.
The four parts of Human | Machine | Nature are each dedicated to a location of the former factory and will be released as audio + video on 21.01.2022 digitally via TELESKOP.

Timeless favourite of ours, jazz-tinged music with an incomparable approach towards tasteful use of melodies. Highly Rec ! We´re proud of having shared the stage with his band Tortoise in 2016. WOODEN PEAK
Masterpiece and for shure a favourite instrumental combination of ours. Current Wooden Peak trombone guest Antonia Hausmann is featured beautifully on here. WOODEN PEAK

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu

Exceptional punk music! I love sloppy punk, but this manages to be clean without without losing any energy at all (maybe even getting more of it in the process!). Can't recommend it enough and show them to everyone I know zacharypinkham
